The Mist
2024
When Aron, a mythical creature with the power of foresight, stumbles upon a group of trespassing humans, he has a vision telling of their demise.
Aron wants to warn them, but it is forbidden by his clan. He must question his species long held beliefs, such as why they are never allowed to leave the misted forest he calls home.

The metaphor of their forest covered in mist represents the Aryin’s species Prejudices clouding their judgment from seeing beauty in life (in this metaphor the starry sky), by holding onto old beliefs about certain types (humans).
The mist is a short comic i made in January 2024, as part of my GCSE coursework. i had 10 hours to illustrate this comic, as a mock exam. The theme for this project was identity.
Due to the constrains of the exam, I had to condense the story, trying to tell it in as little pages as possible. If I could redo it, I would use more pages to properly tell Aron’s story.
