WolfBound took my five years in total to make, as I also had other responsibilities, especially as school amped up for exams and GCSEs. I remember, I would wake up at 5am some days to get a couple of hours in before school, then could squeeze in another hour after dinner if I had finished all my homework.

I think a main thing that helped me reach this goal was the fact that my parents were very strict on screen time. I didn’t get a mobile phone until I was 15, and only started using social media for myself when I was 16. And so I had much more time than others my age.

Another thing people ask me was “did I change the story of WolfBound” as I went along. I didn’t! The main story and thumbnails were sketched out in 2021, and I didn’t stray from then after. If anything, this did make me rather annoyed when I was older, as I thought the page layout and story colour have been improved. But I worked on the graphic novel one stage at a time, so I couldn’t go back and redo it, even if I wanted to.
